Pastor Michael and Heather McKinnies
Michael and Heather were both raised in Pastors homes. Michael was raised in South Bend Indiana and Heather is from Dowagiac Michigan with several years spent in Louisiana. He was called to preach at the age of 15. They assisted Rev. Billy Long for 7 years and he became Senior Pastor in January of 2015. They have 4 children Caroline, Trey, Myles, and Katharine.
Our History- Celebrating 75 Years!
In 2022 we celebrated our 75th year in the city of Benton Harbor, being established in 1947. The first building was at 831 McGuigan street. Later we moved to our current location at 1881 Greenly Ave.
Who We Are
Apostolic Tabernacle is a multi cultural, multi generational church. We are a community of people that desires to serve you no matter where you are in regards to your faith. We seek to provide a safe place for people of all walks of life to experience true life-change through authentic, biblical community with God and others. We serve our neighbors, both here in Benton Harbor and around the world. We teach our kids and train our students to be the world-changers we know God designed them to be. Regardless of your story, your doubts, or your struggles, there is hope and you are welcome here.
What We Believe
Apostolic Tabernacle is a church whose purpose is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
-We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
-We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
-We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
-We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.
-We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.Acts 2:4
-We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Hope goes is a charitable outreach ministry of Apostolic Tabernacle.
